Las Catalinas is known for it’s high-end restaurants and classy atmosphere. There are a few boutique shops and most of the restaurants are just steps from the beach.
π΄ Sentido Norte at Casa Chameleon – One of the best restaurants in all of Guanacaste, Sentido Norte has a nearly 360 degree view of the coast. It is a wonderful place to watch the sunset and sip some cocktails! They also have an incredible breakfast menu at a great price point.

π΄ Tamaki – A Nikkei restaurant right in Las Catalinas! Nikkei Cuisine has taken Guanacaste by storm with amazing dining experiences. Tamaki features Asian cuisine, with a Nikkei twist that you will remember long after your last bite.
π΄ Pascual Restaurant – A Spanish restaurant that will have you feeling like you are in Madrid! This restaurant is great for larger parties and the service is incredible. You can enjoy fine wine, tapas, and delicious larger plates, as well.

π΄ Celeste – Featuring local cuisine, here you can find fresh fish, great appetizers, and delicious cocktails all steps from Playa Danta! The patio seating is charming at any time of day, but especially striking after sunset.
π΄ Brew House by Papagayo Brewing Co. – A new restaurant that has quickly become one of my favorites. Here you can enjoy local, craft beers on tap, quality cocktails, and tasty bites. This is located in the main strip of Las Catalinas, steps from the beach!

π΄Pura Vida Ride – Don’t be fooled by this bike shop! Head to the window facing the beach and order one of the most amazing coffees you will try in Costa Rica! I recommend a latte or a tried and true mocha.
